Drop- in Blood Clinic

If you require repeat blood testing or you have been advised by one of the clinicians to get your bloods tested we have a drop in blood clinic which runs from 8:45am-10.00am every morning we are open (Mon-Fri). You don’t need an appointment for this if you could just come to the Reception desk between these times and we can slot you into the clinic.

Antenatal Care

Routine antenatal check-ups by our qualified midwife.

Time: Monday – please contact the surgery to make an appointment.

Well baby clinic

This clinic is for advice and weight checking. (No GP present).  Please note: if your child is unwell please book an appointment routinely or through the triage system if urgent.

Time: Tuesday 1.30pm – 2.30pm. By appointment only.  Please telephone the Health Visiting Team on 502459 to arrange.

Vaccinations

Routine and travel vaccinations for all ages are available during surgery times by appointment with our nurses.

Flu jabs

Our flu immunisation programme is available from October through to the end of March. Please contact the surgery to find out about up to date clinic times throughout this period.

Shingles Vaccine

The shingles vaccine will be offered to all patients aged 70, 78 and 79 year olds. As and when vaccine is available we will write to eligible patients to invite them to attend.  For more information on the shingles vaccine please follow the link below:

Asthma

Regular check-ups and advice from practice nurses on lifestyle, inhaler techniques and medication.

Please contact the surgery to make an appointment. The asthma clinic usually runs on a Wednesday afternoon subject to availability.

Childhood immunisation

The Practice aims to ensure that every child completes the immunisation programme against tetanus, whooping cough, diphtheria, polio, rotavirus, measles, mumps, rubella, HIB and meningitis C.

Please feel free to discuss any anxieties you may have regarding this with any of the doctors.

Dr Laverty is the GP responsible for child health surveillance within the practice and is supported by the Health Visitors at clinic times.

Clinic times are as follows:

THURSDAYS  Immunisations 2:00pm – 3.20pm
You will be sent an appointment for Immunisations.

THURSDAYS Assessments (6 weeks) 2.00pm – 2.30pm
You will be sent an appointment for assessments.
